FEROFORM PR18
Rudder bearing material
Designed in response to market demands for a cost-effective solution for rudder bearing applications, Feroform PR18 contains high-performance resins and specially selected friction modifiers making it a stable and highly wear-resistant material.
Wear test results show that Feroform PR18 provides up to 4 times more wear resistance than competitor materials which are also approved for rudder bearings.
The history of Feroform PR18
Following the acquisition of Railko in 2006, Feroform PR18 is also the new name for the former material Railko RG22 which has been rebranded to bring it in line with its already extensive range of Feroform materials.
This has proved successful because Railko RG22 was a well-known brand with shipowners and shipyards alike.
